News from the Club: April 2026
“Kingspoint is more than a collection of homes. It is a community and has been since it was built. We are a fabulous motley crew of Veterinarians, Therapists, Professors, Soldiers, Sailors, and Spies. We go to public and private schools. We are retirees and those just having our first kids. This is where civil society takes place – common spaces. We desperately need to preserve these spaces” Mary Le Gouellec, Kingspoint Resident
From the Board
Dear Kingspoint Club Members,
Lovely weather seems to be here to stay in Virginia. Here in beautiful Kingspoint, the trees and flowers are waking up and announcing Spring’s vibrant arrival. Just as nature is busy preparing for Spring, so is the Club. We have many activities planned in April and May. We hope you will head down to the clubhouse and spend time mingling with new and old friends alike, during one of the many fun activities we have planned in coming weeks.
We would like to highlight just a few of the activities that you and your family might be interested in attending in April and early May. (We are including some of the early May activities also, so you have plenty of time to get them added to your calendars. The May News will arrive to you just as some of these activities are about to take place.)
It really is a great time to be part of the Club! Thank you for being a member and for your support and enthusiasm. Looking forward to a great 2026 summer with all of you!

Membership Updates & Community Growth
The 'Kingspoint Kares' initiative is dividing the neighborhood into 20-ish pods of 10-12 houses, each with a 'Pod Pilot' (a host/hostess in charge of steering the pod—think block captain). I'm looking for warm, friendly neighbors to be pod pilots. I'm hoping we can foster smaller communities within Kingspoint to reach out to residents who may not yet feel part of the larger community.
We are an amazing community and we care for each other well. In times of sickness, deaths, births, moves, and emergencies, I've seen neighbors pull together to help one another, which makes this community a great place to live. I'm hoping by creating pods we will spread more love, just in a more intentional way. I have made meals for neighbors, watched their dogs, raked their leaves, and greeted them as they moved in but there are some neighbors I never see and do not know their names. I'm hoping that Pods give us a reason to talk and can foster community through things like podlucks (get it?), assisting elderly residents, welcoming new arrivals, celebrating births, connecting neighbors with tutors and babysitters, and inviting neighbors to Kingspoint Club events! I'm hoping neighbors will feel engaged and included, making our community even better.
I'm going to host a very brief event for anyone interested at the clubhouse May 17 at 3pm to generate ideas and answer questions. I'll serve drinks and flourless chocolate cake--(what could be better?). Please come. You can email me, Mary Le Gouellec, at mary_and_yann@hotmail.com or call 513-728-0056.
