The Kingspoint pool is a lovely spot for summer swimming and recreation. It features the following amenities:

  • 25-meter pool with diving well.

  • shaded baby pool.

  • adjacent playground.

  • parking on the street next to the pool and a parking lot next to the clubhouse.

Pool Season

The Kingspoint pool is open each summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Please note that the Kingspoint Swim Team will be using the pool during certain weekday evening hours of the swim team season. Swim practice starts at the end of May and runs until the end of July.

Lane 6: The lane near the deep-end, the deep-end, and the diving board will remain open for Club members during EVENING swim practices.

Regular Pool Hours

May 24 - June 11:           

  • Mon - Fri: 3:00 – 8:00 PM (Mon.-Thurs., Pool Attendant Only)

  • (June 10-11) 1:00 - 8:00 PM (Pool Attendant Only)

  • Sat, Sun, & Holidays: 11:00 - 8:00 PM  (Lifeguard hours)

June 12 - August 24:                 

  • Mon - Fri: 11:00 - 8 PM*   (Mon.-Thurs. & Fri. 11-1 PM, PA Only)

  • Pool will close at 4:30 for home meets on 6/16, 7/7, and 7/14.

Lifeguard and Pool Attendant Hours

The Club will be utilizing a combination of lifeguard hours and swim-at-your-own-risk hours. The swim-at-your-own-risk hours will be monitored and managed by pool attendants.

  • When lifeguards are on duty, non-swimming children and children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult swimmer at all times.

  • Pool Attendants will manage the pool during the swim-at-your-own-risk hours: They will work during non-guarded times when the pool is open without a lifeguard on duty, when children (under 14) will need to be supervised by a responsible adult/guardian.

  • June 12th - August 1st: 5:45 AM - 7:45 AM

Kingspoint Swim Team:                  

  • May 27th - June 11th, Monday - Friday : 6:30-8:00 PM*

  • June 12 - August 1st, Monday - Friday : 8:00-9:00 AM & 7-8:00 PM*

Water Aerobics:

  • June 23-August 18th: Mondays & Fridays, 10-11 AM

Continental Pool Company:

  • Continental will provide daily pool cleaning and servicing at 9:00 AM

2025 Dues

  • Resident Dues: $800/year

  • “Summer Pass-Holders” (pool access for non-residents): $450 for families, $400 for couples, and $350 for singles

Kingspoint swim team.

Swim Team

The Kingspoint Dolphins swim team is a member of the Virginia Peninsula Swim Union (VPSU), a summer swim program for children aged 4-18. Non-resident members are welcome! Additional fees will apply. Registration is open for the 2025 swim team.

  • Lifeguards: Interested in becoming a lifeguard at your neighborhood pool this summer? We want YOU! Continental has posted training classes in Richmond, Newport News, and VA Beach. Information can be found at Top Lifeguard Training in Southern Virginia | Continental Pools. Interested applicants can apply at Continental Season Lifeguard Form. The pay rate starts at $14 per hour and increases depending on the experience, availability, etc.

    Pool Attendants: The Club hires two pool attendant managers and together we interview and hire pool attendant applicants.

    Pool attendants will manage the pool during the swim-at-your-own-risk hours: They will work during non-guarded times when the pool is open without a lifeguard, when children will need to be supervised by a responsible adult/guardian.

    Pool attendants will manage the daily pool responsibilities. They will monitor the entry at the pool. They will monitor and adjust the pool’s pH levels. They will scrub the mildew from tiles on the side of the pool and skim the pool for debris. They will clean and arrange the tables, and they will tidy the deck and restrooms. We are looking for attendants aged 14 and older, and pay will be similar to entry level wages.

  • Joan Feldman will be our water aerobics instructor this year. Classes will be held Mondays and Fridays (10 -11 AM). Classes start on June 23 and run until August 18 in 2025.

  • Guests must be accompanied by a member. There is a $5 fee per person for local guests (WJCC and Upper York County residents). There is no charge for out-of-town guests or grandchildren. Kingspoint residents must be club members to be at the pool. If you live in Kingspoint and you have not paid for pool membership, then you cannot be a guest of a member.
