Dear Kingspoint Club Members,
It’s hard to believe that summer is over and fall is almost here. (As a parent, I now understand why my parents were sooo happy when school started!...) Please be aware of all the students (and us dog walkers!) as it starts getting dark earlier. As I wrap up my first summer serving as President of the Kingspoint Club Board, I want to say that I have enjoyed the opportunity to give back to the neighborhood that raised me. Kingspoint has always been special. I grew up here, and now I have the chance to raise my family and give back to the community that has meant a lot to me and my family for many years.
I have seen firsthand what makes Kingspoint such a great place to live. It is more than the pool, dock, clubhouse, and other amenities. It is the people, the friendships, the traditions, and the sense of community that has been built here over many years. I am proud of the work our Board and volunteers have done this year, and I am excited about what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.
As we close out the summer, I am asking for your help as we begin thinking more intentionally about the future of Kingspoint. Our goal is to create a long-range plan that helps us prioritize the needs of our neighborhood while protecting the things that make Kingspoint so special. To do that well, we need to hear from you.
Please take about five minutes to complete the Kingspoint Community Vision and Input Survey. Your feedback will help us understand what matters most to our neighbors and make sure your voice is represented as we begin this planning process.

We only have a week left to enjoy the summer and it looks like Mother Nature is giving us some final pool summer days! I hope we all get to enjoy these last few hours of the pool and I hope to see you at the Labor Day Picnic ( and the Pool Drool!!). Thank you for taking a few minutes to help us think about where Kingspoint improves from here. I want to thank again all of the volunteers and members who have made this summer a success - I hope you enjoyed and appreciated their efforts. I and the Board would like to say thank you for your help and the opportunity to serve our community. We look forward to continuing the good work together.

Monday, September 7th, 1 PM - Annual Labor Day Pool Party: Please join your friends and neighbors for Kingspoint's annual Labor Day picnic and pool party!
Who: All club members and summer pass holders
What: Burgers and dogs and great company
Please bring something to share (e.g., dessert, side dish)
Where: KP Clubhouse
When: Monday September 7th 1-3pm
To help cover costs, we suggest a donation of $15/family. Beer and wine will be provided for a suggested donation of $4. Please help to make this event a success by signing up to help.
Monday, September 7th, 7 PM -Drool in the Pool: After the Labor Day party, bring your furry friends for our “Drool in the Pool” event! From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the pool will be open for dogs to enjoy a swim. It’s the perfect way to let your pets cool off and have some fun before the season ends.
Social Events: The Club is inviting our members to take the lead and bring their Social Event ideas to life! We thank everyone for making the Club a wonderful place to gather, connect, and celebrate! Pool & Swim Team News
The Pool will officially be closed for the season on September 8th. We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to our pool attendants and life guards for their time and effort in keeping our pool safe, clean, and welcoming for our neighborhood!

Facilities Updates & Volunteer Opportunities
Completed Projects: This last month, the pool was treated for phosphate/algae, a valve was replaced, and some plaster was patched up. Some tree branches hanging over the fence by the pool deck, pergola, and pool shed will be trimmed in early September.
Upcoming Projects: The Annual Fall Clean-up is being planned. Keep an eye out for more details in later September. Items on list so far are clearing the pine needles along the pool fence, hanging a small section of gutter along the porch, tree trimming and additional work on the lighting around the deck and back parking area.

Share Your Time, Talents & Expertise with Kingspoint! One of Kingspoint's greatest resources is our neighbors! Whether you're handy with a hammer, great at planning events, have professional or trade expertise, or are simply willing to lend a hand from time to time, we'd love to know how you might be interested in helping.
We've created a quick Kingspoint Volunteer & Skills Form to help the Board build a list of neighbors we can reach out to when projects and opportunities come up. Adding your name doesn't commit you to anything. It simply lets us know you're open to being contacted when there's an opportunity that might be a good fit.
The form takes less than a minute to complete. Help us discover the incredible skills and talents we have right here in Kingspoint! Note: This is the same form linked at the end of the anonymous Vision & Input Survey.
Member Referral Rewards: Love Kingspoint Club? Tell a friend! One of the best ways to grow our Club is the way Kingspoint has always done things best: neighbor to neighbor. When you share what you love about the pool, the events, the clubhouse, the dock, the playground, or the community itself, it helps others see what makes this place so special.

Clubhouse, Facilities, & Waterfront
September 19 - Club the Creek, 4:00 PM: Join us on the water in your creek-worthy vessels. Paddle alongside like-minded members and take in the beauty that is College Creek. No boat, no problem! Join us during the event and afterwards on the deck of the clubhouse–the views here are just as stunning!
Clubhouse Rentals: Hosting a meeting? A birthday? A baby shower? A graduation? A retirement? A book club? A work function? We want to host your next event!
Our beautiful facility is available for rent and has the best rates in town.

Pet of the Month: Sookie
Sookie Peters joined the Peters family in January 2025 and turns 5 years old in September. She is a delightful mix of breeds including Shitzu, Maltese, Poodle and some others, that will not be discussed, due to some shenanigans by previous generations.
Sookie is lovingly called "Cat-dog" on occasion due to her habit of walking over tables, rather than getting down and walking around, like true dogs prefer. Playing with squeaky toys, running with her big sister Molly and taking long naps on the lap of her favorite Nana are Sookies favorite past times. If no one else is around Sookie will often jump up on a bed, with a favorite squeaky toy, and throw it off the side so she can chase it - she let's her whole family know, very loudly, when a toy gets lost under a piece of furniture.
Sookie is 8 pounds of huge personality! She can bark with enough crazy energy to scare off "the bad guys" which includes: most men, all Amazon delivery people, all deer and squirrels and anyone that dares to ring the doorbell. Kingspoint is lucky to have her to protect us all!

The Kingspoint Club, Inc. oversees our community’s recreational property on Northpoint Drive. This waterfront site includes a beautiful clubhouse, neighborhood pool, picnic area, dock, and a children’s play area. The KP Club operates the pool and clubhouse and organizes neighborhood social events for members. Membership in the Club is optional for residents, and includes use of the pool, boat ramp and dock. Members may also rent the clubhouse and pool for social events. Membership is required to attend some Club sponsored social events. Non- residents may also pay annual dues to use the pool and the clubhouse. For more information or to join, contact KPMembership@gmail.com.

Little Dolphins (new update!)
Do you have young kids and are looking to connect with other parents in the neighborhood? Consider joining the “Little Dolphins” GroupMe. It’s a network of parents in the neighborhood. It’s a nice way to meet parents in the neighborhood with similarly aged kids (coffee date anyone?), and to help arrange playdates (heading down to the pool?) or share other vital information (lemonade stand pop-up!) Advertising Policy
The advertising policy for the News from the Club is as follows: business related ads are $25/edition or $260/yr. See this website for additional information: https://www.kingspointclub.org/advertisers. We can provide an invoice if necessary.
Small ads of one or two sentences from Club members’ children are free as a community service to all Kingspoint Club members. Children may be of elementary, middle, and high school age or college age to place an ad.
