News from the Club: April 2025

“Kingspoint memories, for me, go back to 1976, when our family had only recently returned from a 2-year assignment in Thailand. After researching and visiting several residential neighborhoods in the area, we settled upon Kingspoint. Why did we do this? Location, location, location. A beautiful neighborhood tucked away in a hidden corner overlooking College Creek, direct access to the Colonial Parkway, and a lovely walking/hiking trail on the Country Road which takes you to Colonial Williamsburg or to the JCC government center. Our two children immediately joined the Club’s swim team! My other wonderful Club memory has to do with something that isn’t here anymore...tennis courts! I was an avid tennis player so I burned a lot of energy on the courts; the courts may be gone but my memories are not. I remember having picnics at the clubhouse grounds (a sales office at that time!) and taking advantage of our location by hiking along the Parkway. This location is still hard to beat. Please take advantage of the walking/hiking opportunities which take you to living history at CW and/or Jamestown-Yorktown.” Loretta Hannum, Kingspoint Club member for 49 years!

Letter from the KP Presidents

Dear Kingspoint Club Members,

Lovely weather seems to be here to stay in Virginia. Here in beautiful Kingspoint, the trees and flowers are waking up and announcing Spring’s vibrant arrival. Just as nature is busy preparing for Spring, so is the Club. We have many activities planned in April and May. We hope you will head down to the clubhouse and spend time mingling with new and old friends alike, during one of the many fun activities we have planned in coming weeks.

We would like to highlight just a few of the activities that you and your family might be interested in attending in April and early May. (We are including some of the early May activities also, so you have plenty of time to get them added to your calendars. The May News will arrive to you just as some of these activities are about to take place.)
